Academic Division - Department of Legal Studies
The United States spends about $150 billion annually on police, prisons, and courts, and over 2 million people work in the criminal justice system. Our criminal justice program will prepare you to enter that field, and to understand the functioning of the criminal justice system as well as the crime problems it is intended to address. Our program focuses on understanding the competing goals and interests reflected in the tension between individual rights and public order through a liberal arts approach that includes law, sociology, and psychology coursework.
- Approved SCA and PSY courses can also count towards elective requirements.
