Peak Performance Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine
Peak Performance Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine is considered the leader in
Sports medicine and Physical Therapy in Mid-Missouri. They have 11 clinics throughout
the area. The Athletic Training Education Program utilizes the clinic in Fulton, Ashland,
and Berrywood clinic in Columbia as clinical sites. Athletic training students enrolled
in our General Medical clinical course can valuable experience in a clinic setting
under the direct supervision of Certified Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist.
Many of the Certified Athletic Trainers who work for Peak Performance also provide
sports coverage to area high schools giving our athletic training student the opportunity
to gain experience in the secondary school setting.

Atlas Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine
Atlas Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine is a locally owned, private practice located
in Fulton, Missouri. Athletic training students assigned to Atlas Physical Therapy
during the Clinical IV course (General Medical) can valuable experience in a clinical
setting under the direct supervision of Jill Gamlin PT, ATC, CEAS. Jill also provides
athletic training services to Fulton High School. This also provides our athletic
training students with the opportunity to gain experience in the secondary school
setting. Atlas Physical Therapy also offers the only aquatic therapy program in Fulton
that is certified by the Arthritis Foundation.

Westminster College Intercollegiate Athletics
Westminster College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Fulton, Missouri
just minutes from the William Woods University campus. The history between Westminster
College and William Woods University is very well known in the area and dates back
to the founding of each institution. Athletic training students enrolled in our Clinical
III course (Equipment Intensive) complete their clinical experience under the direct
supervision of Josh Thompson, Head Athletic Trainer during the Blue Jays football
season.

Audrain Medical Center
Audrain Medical Center is located in Mexico, Missouri just north of Fulton. As part
of the Clinical IV course (General Medical), athletic training students spend time
in the Emergency Room gaining valuable experience in emergency care as well as general
medical injuries and illnesses. Athletic training students complete their clinical
assignment under the direct supervision of the emergency room doctors.

William Woods University Intercollegiate Athletics
Athletic training students enrolled in the Clinical I and Clinical II courses are
typically assigned to the Athletic Training Staff on campus here at William Woods
University. WWU is a member of the NAIA competing in the American Midwest Conference.
The athletic training students gain valuable experience under the direct supervision
of the Certified Athletic Trainers in upper and lower extremity sports as well as
the opportunity to work with both male and female athletes in team and individual
sports.

Columbia Orthopaedic Group
Physician in the Columbia Orthopaedic Group serve as the team physicians for many
of the local high schools and the different Universities and Colleges in Mid-Missouri,
including William Woods University. Athletic training students have the opportunity
to observe surgeries and injury clinics with our Team Physician or one of the specialist
at Columbia Orthopaedic Group. Dr. Matt Thornburg serves as the Team Physician for
WWU Athletics and as the Medical Director for the Athletic Training Education Program.
