Undergraduate Courses and Programs

The Associate of Arts (AA) Program and ACCESS Courses are designed to assist working aduls in the completion of general education and elective hours necessary for admission into a degree completion program of the University.

The AA in Liberal Studies consists of a 64-semester hour, 21-course program of general education. Students will be tested and placed into appropriate English and Mathematics classes. Like all G&AS programs, the AA program is delivered in the cohort format, which enables students to move through the entire program sequence of courses together as a cohort. That is, they normally begin and progress through the entire program together, course by course, as a cohesive group.

ACCESS courses meet in extended class periods over an accelerated six-week format. Courses may be taken on a course-by-course basis. Six sessions are offered during the calendar year. Courses are also offered to assist students in completing the pre-requisites for the Master in Business Administration.

*The evening BSED program is not an accelerated program. It is a traditional undergraduate program, taught by full-time WWU faculty members, that is offered during evening hours, so working professionals may work toward teaching certification, while maintaining full-time employment.
