Owls Receive Votes in Preseason Poll
(FULTON, Mo., Nov. 17)--The William Woods University baseball team is among others receiving votes in the NAIA baseball preseason Top 25 poll released today.
William Woods University finished the 2009 season 34-15. They finished second in the American Midwest Conference regular season and postseason tournament. The Owls reached NAIA Top 25 status on three occasions during the 2009 season, and were among others receiving votes in the final NAIA Top 25 poll. WWU finished one win shy of tying the school record for wins (35) set in 2004 (35-32). William Woods set a new school record for team batting average (.323) and ERA (4.31).
The Owls will open the 2010 season at Christian Brothers University on February 13 and 14.
