MacKenzie Bowden Signs With William Woods
(FULTON, Mo., Nov. 10) - William Woods University head softball coach Tracy Gastineau has announced the signing of MacKenzie Bowden to a William Woods University Letter of Intent to play for the Owls in 2011. Bowden comes to William Woods from Jefferson City High School.
Bowden, a 5'5" pitcher, earned three varsity softball letters at Jefferson City High School. She was selected first team All-District in 2007, All-Regional and first team All-District in 2008, and first team All-District, All-Regional and first team All-State in 2009. Bowden was also a four-time scholar-athlete.
Bowden was a member of the 2009 Missouri State class four state championship team.
"We are very excited to have MacKenzie be a part of our softball program," said coach Gastineau. "She is a power pitcher that has had a lot of experience and success at the high school level and we feel she will make a good and quick transition to the college game. In addition to her softball skills, MacKenzie is an outstanding student which is another important part of our team’s goals. We are thrilled she will be joining us for the next four years."
