Attendance Policy

Graduate and Adult Studies Class Attendance Policy (courses meeting for fewer than 10 sessions)

The accelerated nature of the Graduate and Adult Studies cohort model of instruction requires regular attendance and active student participation in classes, study groups, and applied instructional activities. Attendance at all course meetings is considered mandatory for successful completion of the program. Students absent from class for two or more sessions will have their final course letter grade reduced by one full letter for each class missed after the first absence. Any missed work will be due on the original due date (unless prior arrangements have been made with the facilitator) along with any make-up assignments given by the facilitator.

Online course students who do not communicate with instructors via class discussions, chat rooms, or emails for one week during the course will be required to complete make-up work as assigned by the instructor. Student course grades will be reduced by one letter grade for each subsequent week they do not participate.
