Satisfactory Academic Progress
William Woods University requires all students to make satisfactory academic progress. Satisfactory academic progress is determined through two measures; GPA and course completion rate.
Following are the minimum requirements for both:
Traditional Undergraduate Students:
Students in undergraduate programs must achieve a minimum grade point average of a 2.0 during any academic year. Undergraduates will not be eligible for federal financial aid if they do not annually meet this minimum of academic progress. Bright Flight Scholars must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for renewal. Missouri College Guarantee Program recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 for renewal. In addition, students must complete their bachelors degree within 180 attempted hours and/or associates degree within 90 hours.
Attempted hours include the following:
Cumulative hours earned
Hours withdrawn (received a W on transcript)
Failed courses not repeated
All hours attempted at other institutions
These policies apply to the Semester Program/On Campus students only. Graduate College Students will need to consult the Graduate College Regulations.
