Master of Education in Elementary or Secondary Administration
The master of education degree program in administration prepares you for effective
school administration at the elementary, middle and/or secondary level(s). All coursework
required by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is
included.
The program emphasizes abilities to formulate effective educational practice involving school administration, school management, curriculum development and supervision as they relate to the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium Standards. Current research, educational trends, knowledge assessment, legal frameworks and cultural issues are emphasized.
Program graduates with a passing score on the state’s building-level assessment are eligible for initial building-level administration certification.
