Summary of Expertise:

  • Karen Pautz has been teaching dressage at William Woods since 1987, with a five-year hiatus (1997 – 2002) during which she was New Media Design Director (aka web goddess) for The Blood-Horse and The Horse magazines in Lexington, Kentucky, and trained the horses and officers of the Lexington/Fayette Mounted Police. Her riders (both college students and non-college customers with their own horses) have had success at local, state, regional and national levels. She particularly enjoys helping horses of all ages and breeds make a “career change” to dressage. When she’s not teaching, giving clinics or coaching at shows, she’s kayaking or sailing her boat “Dressage Queen” on Stockton Lake in southwest Missouri.
