Dear Readers,
The dedicated staff of The Hoot is proud to present
you with the third issue for the academic year. I
emphasize the term dedicated. Our staff volunteers
their time and efforts to provide you with each issue
of The Hoot.
From brainstorming stories, interviewing and writing
stories, taking photographs, finding businesses to
advertise, to the final layout, the staff works around
the clock. Through illness, problems with layout and
more, our ambitious staff works to provide you with a
newsworthy magazine.
We invite you to join us on our ever-continuing
journey of learning how to put together a print
publication. If you have any comments, questions
or suggestions, please contact me at
. Feedback helps
us learn and grow to better serve you with a
quality publication.
If you are interested in joining our staff—be it writing,
photography, layout or ad sales, just contact me!
Working on a print publication is very rewarding
and helps build your resume for future jobs. Plus, it’s
exciting to see your name in print!
Now, please kick back and enjoy reading our feature
stories about your friends on campus.
Until next time,
