Hackmann Receives McNutt Award at WWU

The daughter of Bruce Hackmann and the late Debra Hackmann, she also has been named to the 2006 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
Hackmann also received a Student Alumni Council Outstanding Senior Award at the banquet. The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.
The McNutt award is given to the graduate whose consistency of purpose and selfless devotion to service were contributed without thought of reward and who best exemplifies the spirit and qualities of Amy Shelton McNutt, an alumna of William Woods in whose honor the award was named.
Hackmann has served Alpha Chi Omega sorority as vice president of finance (2005) and of membership development (2003). She has been the class president of Student Alumni Council for four years. A member of Student Assembly, she is chair of Campus Standards Board and a member of the student financial committee.
She has been an orientation assistant/peer mentor and an Up ’Til Dawn volunteer, raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She also is a member of Order of Omega, President’s Twenty, Phi Beta Lambda business honor society and First Baptist Church’s College Class.
