|FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE||(573) 592-1127|
The poetry reading will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, in the Library Auditorium on the WWU campus. The public is invited to attend.
Pritts, a professor of English at the Northwestern Louisiana State University, is the editor of the online literary journal H_NGM_N. His poems have appeared in Coconut, DIAGRAM, and other magazines in print and online. Recently chapbooks of his poems have been published by horse less press and ForkliftOH Press.
Pritts will sign copies of his work after the reading.
“His work is dynamic and engaging,” said Matt Dube, assistant professor of English. “Pritts has a keen awareness of the absurdity of the emotional traps we place ourselves in, and a unique ability to bring across that absurdity in poems that are funny with an emotional sting.”
He added, “His work is current and new, hip and irreverent. It makes him the perfect person to read, to cap the work of Writers’ Ink and to announce the increased prominence of creative writing on campus.”
