Jody Paschal, a 2001 WWU graduate and former North Calloway High School teacher, is the guest director.
William Woods student actors in the play are Allison Ward of Hazelwood, Mo., as Jenny; Taylor Davidson of Kansas City, Mo., as Randolph; Maggie Inhofe of St. Peters, Mo., as Helen O’Toole; Bethany Hall of Des Moines, Iowa, as Kate Bixley; Arin Brewington of De Soto Mo., as Crane Hammond; Bryan Schmiderer of Pacific, Mo., as Lyle Rodgers, and Cody Olendorff of Pacific, Mo., as Philip Smith.
Community players are Rachel Weekley of Fulton, Mo., as Lillian Seymour; Matt Pedersen of Auxvasse, Mo., as Vernon Cookley, and Mike Wilson of Fulton, Mo., as Richard Hammond.
According to Joe Potter, assistant professor and artistic director of theatre at WWU, “The audience will be entertained by its many laughs and ridiculous behavior. I like this play because it gives our actors the chance to play farce, a real challenge for them to go over the top; they have all met the challenge head on.”
Potter designed the set and lighting. Jane Friedman designed the costumes.
Performances are scheduled for Feb. 16, 17, 23 and 24 at 8 p.m. in Dulany Auditorium. A matinee performance is planned for Feb. 18 at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets for the play “Exit the Body” are $7 for adults, $6 for senior 55 and up and $5 for children and WWU students. For more information, call the box office at (573) 592-4269.
