Clark Receives Award from William Woods University

Kate Karcher Clark received the Alumni Award of Distinction during Alumni Weekend at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., April 20-22. The award was first presented in 1952 and honors an alumnus who has achieved national or international recognition in his or her chosen field.

Originally from Memphis, Tenn., Clark now lives in New York City, where she runs her own toy company. Clark is the founder and president of YOTTOY Productions. YOTTOY is a premier designer and manufacturer of high quality, contemporary licensed and original toys, gifts and promotional products.

A 1988 graduate of William Woods with a bachelor of fine arts, Clark worked as a commercial artist before making her way to New York City where she worked in an art gallery; as a corporate art consultant to New York's elite; and, finally, as a leading creator of toys for a wide range of corporations.

Clark launched her toy design company in 1995 using her own savings. She began with eight designs, going door-to-door and working around the clock, including holidays; today, there are three major Collections – Classic, Contemporary and Signature - featuring 56 styles in addition to a wide range of custom-made designs, a specialty of Clark's.
