WWU Professor Named to Board of Capital Arts

Capital Arts plans to open at a new location on Missouri Boulevard by 2008. Its gallery will give artists an opportunity to exhibit and sell their artwork. There will also be ongoing workshops in theatre, pottery, watercolor, oil painting, music and more.
The organization’s Capital Arts Calendar helps raise public awareness of numerous cultural opportunities available in the area.
Capital Arts sponsors a number of activities, including street chalk drawing at Jazzfest Sept. 22, the Take a Seat fund raiser Jan. 19 and Taste of the Arts April 4, as well as Art in a Suitcase and Reaching for the Stars.
