Two WWU Students Win World Championships

Two of William Woods University’s equestrian students won world championships at the 4th Annual Friesian USEF World and Grand National Championships. The show was held Oct. 4-8 in St. Louis, Mo. David Trail, a sophomore from Rock, W. Va., rode Oedse K to a National Championship in Country Pleasure Amateur and World Championship in Open Country Pleasure.
Leslie Mohme, a sophomore from Bastrop, Texas, also riding Oedse K, won the World Championship in Country Pleasure Amateur.
Oedse K, better known as “Desi,” is the only Dutch horse at WWU.
