Individual members from both organizations purchased gifts specific to each child's Christmas list, plus more!
“When the participants gathered at the Alpha Chi Omega house to wrap presents, it was amazing to see the turnout and dedication,” Stacie Bonte, Alpha Chi Omega president, said. “Each of us wanted to make a difference for this family so that they could have a good holiday experience this year.”
In addition, the women of Alpha Chi Omega recently made holiday cards to send to troops in Iraq. Members got together and decorated cards and wrote personal messages to help brighten the season for those men and women away from their families. Also, members each purchased cards to send to troops recovering here in the United States.
“The women were very excited with the participation they had,” Bonte said. “We hope it will truly make a difference in the soldiers’ lives knowing that people are thinking of them and appreciate them. They do so much for this country and deserve every little bit.”
