Members of William Woods University’s Delta Epsilon Chi (DEX) business organization are hoping to repeat last year’s state competition success when they compete Feb. 19-20 at Lodge of the Four Seasons at Lake of the Ozarks.
Last year, with only 13 competitors, WWU students won first place in five of the nine events they entered, second in four and third in one.
DEX is an international organization for college students preparing for careers in marketing, merchandising or management. WWU’s DEX is sponsored by Linda Duke, instructor of marketing and business.
In only its second year on campus, the WWU DEX chapter has grown into the second largest chapter in Missouri, with 40 members. This year, 24 students will compete in 29 events at the state competition.
Students who qualify at state will be eligible for international competition, to be held this year in Anaheim, Calif.
