Two WWU Graduates Named Outstanding Beginning Teachers

Two William Woods University graduates, Ann Ridgway and Katie FinleyShari Means and Ann Ridgway, were honored recently for their excellence as beginning teachers. They received their awards at the Missouri Association of Colleges for Teacher Education Luncheon in April at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City.  
 
Ridgway graduated in December of 2005 with a degree in elementary education, and she teaches kindergarten at Hatton-McCredie Elementary School. This is her third year of teaching.  She resides in Mexico, Mo., with her family.
 
Finley graduated from William Woods in May of 2008 with a degree in Connie Epperson, Katie Finley and Shari Meanselementary education and is working toward her master of education degree through WWU. She teaches first grade at Bartley Elementary in Fulton.
