WWU Sends Horses, Riders to Pinto Congress

William Woods University students won several championships and other ribbons when they travelled to Tulsa, Okla., to compete in Pinto Congress.
Kate VanBenthysen of Prior Lake, Minn., rode her own horse, My Patriots Hightime, to a Reserve Congress Champion in Senior Youth Trail and a few other overall top five/top 10s.
Kristen Asher of Deckerville, Mich., riding Purely Zip N Rock, placed third in Novice Youth Horsemanship and fourth in Novice Youth English Equitation.
Amanda Seitter of Peculiar, Mo., riding Unzip This, placed sixth in Novice Youth Showmanship.
Western Instructor Jennie Petterson of Fulton, Mo., rode My Patriots Hightime to a Congress Championship in 3- and 4-year-old Hunter Under Saddle Cash Challenge, fifth overall in the All Color Breed Cash Challenge (HUS 3- and 4-year-olds) and sixth in the NSBA/Hunter Under Saddle Jr. Horse class.
