Westhues Honored with GPS Award at William Woods University

Dan Westhues of Jefferson City, Mo., received the Graduate and Professional Studies Award during William Woods University’s Alumni Weekend, April 15-17.
The Graduate and Professional Studies Award is a new award created to honor successful individuals who completed their degrees through WWU’s Graduate and Professional Studies program.
Westhues is senior vice president of consumer banking at Central Bank in Jefferson City and was previously director of E-Commerce for Central Bank Company. A graduate of Westminister College, he earned his master of business administration degree at William Woods in 1996. He also attended the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University.
He is a member of the President’s Club and serves on the William Woods Board of Trustees. Appointed to the board in 2008, he served as treasurer until recently being elected first vice chair. He has helped promote WWU’s Graduate and Professional Studies program in television, in print ads, and in brochures. He has also served as an adjunct instructor in the MBA Program.
Active in the Jefferson City community, Westhues serves as chairman of the Community Campaign for United Way of Central Missouri and as Funds Allocation Panel Chair since 2001. He is treasurer of the Missouri River Regional Library, has served on the Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and served as chair of Leadership in Jefferson City. He has been on the board of directors of both the Capitol City Council on the Arts and the Jefferson City Community Concerts Association.
