WWU Saddle Seat Riders Compete in Kick-Off Show

Fourteen William Woods University saddle seat riders
participated in the recent Missouri Horse Shows Association (MHSA) Kick-Off
Show in Sedalia, Mo., and won many ribbons:
- Murphy McSemek of Xenia, Ohio, and The Straight Guy placed first and Champion in the Country Pleasure Adult.
- Meghan Monroe of Cana, Va., and Speak of The Devil placed third and Champion in the Five-Gaited Pleasure Division.
- Shannon Garcia of Los Lunas, N.M., and Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves placed first and Champion in the Five- Gaited Amateur Division.
- Maria Gudger of Portland, Ore., and Glenmair’s Sensation placed first and Champion in the National Show Horse Pleasure Division.
- Kristen Cuneo of East Kingston, N.H., and Apollo’s Spitfire placed first and Champion in the Arabian English Pleasure Division.
- Stephanie Koerner of Kankakee, Ill., and Starheart’s Starworthy placed first and Champion in the Hunter Pleasure Division.
- Avery Bul of Dallas, Texas, and Champagne for Two placed first in the Five-Gaited Pleasure Division.
- Bryce Smithwick of Simpsonville, Ky., and Enchanting Evening placed first in the Three-Gaited Amateur Division.
- Corie Allen of Kankakee, Ill., and He’s All That placed first in the ASB Model class, as well as first and Champion in the Park Pleasure Amateur Division.
- Aubri Kennamer of Vestavia Hills., Ala., and Keep It Simple placed first in the Three-Gaited Show Pleasure Division.
- Linsay Bernard of Weare, N.H., and Harlem’s Irish Dancer placed third and Reserve Champion in the Open English Pleasure Division.
- Carly Fettig of Elwood, Ind., and Reedann’s Yes You May placed second and third in the Open English Pleasure Division.
- Katie Poluka of Lakeville, Minn., and Royal Crest Stone Fence placed fourth and third in the Five-Gaited Amateur Division.
- Lauren Greenwald of Houston, Texas, and After Eight placed third in both of the Amateur Park classes.
