William Woods University will host motivational speaker, Corey Ciocchetti as part of the President’s Concert and Lecture Series.

The talk, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, in Cutlip Auditorium of the McNutt Campus Center.

Ciocchetti is an assistant professor of business ethics and legal studies in the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver and author of the book “Real Rabbits: Chasing an Authentic Life.”  He speaks on college campuses across the country every year on what it means to chase “authentic success.”

He firmly believes in the values associated with finding happiness in one’s personal and professional life, and warns students of the dangers of becoming focused on the outward signs of success, like a large paycheck, fame and notoriety.

With a unique ability to relate his subject matter to students, Ciocchetti gives audiences a clearer view of what it means to gain character, define their priorities and live an ethical life.

He hopes William Woods students, like so many others before them, will leave “Chasing Authentic Success” with a better idea of the things that are most important to them, and a strategy for achieving those things.

Brenda Foster, chair of concert-lecture committee, said, “We expect that Corey Ciocchetti will also touch on personal leadership and offer ideas for achieving success and happiness in one’s personal goals. We believe these are excellent topics and suggestions for everyone to consider in their current and future endeavors.”

The annual President’s Concert and Lecture Series brings top speakers and entertainment to campus for the enjoyment of students and the community. For more information, contact Foster at brenda.foster@williamwoods.edu.
