Riders Do Well at Kick Off Horse Show

Stephanie Hill of Harrisburg, Mo., won two firsts and a second in saddle seat and three firsts in Western. She rode MJK Seize Command to win the Morgan English Pleasure Amateur and the Morgan English Pleasure Open and to take second in the Morgan English Pleasure State, all saddle seat competitions. In Western, she rode Revelwoods Jacks are Wild to win the MHSA Adult Stock Seat Medal, the ASB Country Western Pleasure and the ASB Country Western Pleasure Championship.
Stella Traylor of Dale, Ind., won a first place trophy in ASP 5-gaited Pleasure riding Colossal, and another in 5-gaited Horsemanship riding Reedann’s Reconteur. She also took fourth in ASB 5-gaited Pleasure Championship riding Colossal.
Jimmy Bushard of Random Lake, Wis., rode Sweet Steel to a first in ASB Park Open, a second in ASB Park Stake and a third in ASB Park Amateur.
Jenilee Shippee of Danielson, Conn., rode All Aglitter to a first place finish in MHSA Arabian English Pleasure and NSHR English Pleasure Open, as well as third in NSHR Amateur English Pleasure and MHSA Arabian English Pleasure.
Kirsten Lorence of Eden Prairie, Minn., received first in ASB 5-gaited Pleasure Championship and fourth in ASB 5-gaited Pleasure riding Callaway’s Connie Mack. Jessica Savinelli of Newton, N.H., took first in ASB 5-gaited Amateur riding Swatch Watch.
Krissy Pruitt of Etowah, Tenn., won two second-place ribbons and a third place. Jamie Bender of Springfield, Neb., took two second-place ribbons. Cierra Hertzog of Fulton and Amanda Wright of Ilion, N.Y., each took a second.
Leslie Potter of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, rode away with a second and three fourths. Dee Wood of Hallsville took a second, a third and a fourth. Kris Maloney of West Seneca, N.Y. took a second, a third and a fifth. Zach Duffy of Janesville, Wis., took a second and two sixths. Kristie Cutting of Barre, Mass., took a third and a fifth. Anna Chandler of Louisville, Ky., took a fifth.
All saddle seat riders were coached by Gayle Lampe, professor of equestrian science. Adjunct Karen Craighead coached Hill in Western.
