Students inducted into foreign language society

Six students at William Woods University were inducted into the foreign language honor society, Alpha Mu Gamma.

Ilana Archuleta of Fulton, Mo.; Lauren Billington of St. Charles, Mo.; Alexandra Fores of Larsen, Wis.; Danielle Propst of Holts Summit, Mo.; Brooke Thibodaux of Wildwood, Mo., and Mark Webb of Mount Vernon, Mo., were all announced as 2011-2012 members of Alpha Mu Gamma.
 
Alpha Mu Gamma is the first and largest national collegiate foreign language honor society in the United States. Its objectives are to recognize achievement in foreign language study, nurture an interest in the study of foreign languages, literatures and civilizations, stimulate a desire for linguistic attainment, and to foster sympathetic understanding of other peoples through the medium of languages.
 
To be eligible for membership, students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and an A in two upper-level foreign language classes.
 
Dr. Mary Mosley, assistant professor of Spanish, is the adviser at William Woods.
