William Woods University will hold open auditions for the comedy "Bob: A Life in Five Acts" at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, in Dulany Auditorium.

There are five roles available, three men and two women. Auditions are open to all interested community members (no children's roles are available), high school students, William Woods University and Westminster College students, faculty and staff. There is no preferential or seniority casting.

No monologue is required as reading will be from the script. Audition clothes should allow freedom of movement without creating concern for modesty and decorum. Appropriate shoes, such as character/jazz shoes or hard-soled shoes, should be worn. At the conclusion of the auditions, a final callback list will be posted if necessary.

"Bob: A Life in Five Acts," by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, is a comedic journey of Bob, a man born and abandoned in the bathroom of a fast food restaurant, who is searching for greatness.  His journey takes him across America where he encounters inspiring generosity, crushing hardships, blissful happiness, stunning coincidences, wrong turns, lucky breaks, true love and heartbreaking loss.

This play will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6, 7 and 8, with a matinee at 2 p.m. Dec. 9 in Dulany Auditorium.
