Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at William Woods University raised more than $2,500 during a recent golf tournament held to honor the memory of one member’s sister.

Half of the proceeds from the tournament were donated to the National Scleroderma Foundation in honor of Ryan Ellis’ sister, Lyndsey, who died from complications of scleroderma at the start of school in 2010 when she was a freshman.

“Thanks to all of the community players who came out to play,” Nate Lamberson said. “We couldn't do it without all the help from our sponsors and special thanks to Walter Coleman at Northside Liquor and Tobacco for being our grand sponsor.”
