Open auditions announced for ‘The Glorious Ones’ at WWU

William Woods University’s theatre department announces open auditions for the musical “The Glorious Ones.”Auditionsare scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 26 and 27 in Cutlip Auditorium.
These open auditions are for all interested community members, high school students, William Woods University and Westminster College students, faculty and staff. No children’s roles are available.
“We will show no casting preferences, nor give anyone auditioning first choice of roles,” Joe Potter, artistic director of theatre, said.
Persons wishing to be considered for one of the seven roles must sign up for an audition time and attend the auditions both nights. A signup sheet will be posted on the Cutlip Auditorium door.
Prior to the auditions, prepare a 30-second comic monologue, which will be timed, and choose one music cut from the show. Bring both to the audition. Music cuts can be obtained by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Wear business casual clothes that allow freedom of movement without creating concern for modesty and decorum. Wear appropriate shoes, such as character/jazz shoes or hard-soled shoes. No sandals, clogs, flip flops or platform shoes.
If needed, a final call-back session will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 28. If no call-back session is needed, the cast list will be posted and rehearsals will begin.
