The Alumni Award of Distinction was first presented in 1952 and honors an alumnus who has achieved national or international recognition in his or her chosen field.
The Alumni Association includes active, associate and honorary alumni of William Woods, who continue to be active participants in the university. They contribute time, ideas and monetary support for William Woods so that current and future students may share the same experience they had.
Seif received a B.S. in biology and chemistry from William Woods in 1974 and an MBA from Rockhurst University. For 15 years she was an associate with Marion Labs of Kansas City and then served as a consultant for Hoechst Marion Roussell.
Encouraged to start her own consulting firm, she formed Regulatory/Clinical Consultants, Inc. (RxCCI) in Lee’s Summit, Mo., and has been president since 1998. The company is involved in the successful development of new drug products in cardiac, allergy and oncology areas.
In 2002, Seif was the recipient of the Ernst and Young/USA Today Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the health services category. Her husband, Vince, is chief financial officer of the company. They have a daughter, Angela, who is a sophomore in high school.
