The daughter of John and Janet Althauser of Urbana, Ill., she is majoring in equestrian science.
Althauser was one of 13 William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who, based on being an outstanding campus leader. A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
By her listing in “Who’s Who,” Althauser joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
Althauser is involved in numerous campus activities, including Campus Activities Board secretary, Western Club, head community advisor, V-Day participant/organizer, Leader Scholars, Campus Crusade for Christ and Small Group Bible Studies.
She is a member of Chi Omega sorority and has served as career and personal development chair, secretary and director of cardinal cabinet.
Her volunteer activities include peer tutoring, organizing on-campus horse judging contests and shows and participating in Girl Scout game and craft days.
