Bethmann Named to Who’s Who

The daughter of David and Michelle Bethmann of St. Charles, she is majoring in interpreting American Sign Language.
Bethmann was one of 13 William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who, based on being an outstanding campus leader. A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
By her listing in “Who’s Who,” Bethmann joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
The faculty of various disciplines at William Woods have the opportunity each spring to designate one graduating senior as a Distinguished Scholar. A minimum grade point average of 3.4 is required, but the faculty may consider other relevant academic factors and variables in the selection process.
Bethmann is involved in numerous campus activities, including Conversational Club co-founder, Philosophy Club founder/president, Writer’s Ink English Club, Multi-cultural Club secretary, head community advisor, finance committee, Recreational outdoors Club vice president and secretary, Big Sister for Taiwanese students, Orientation Assistant, Student Assembly, Hands On Club and Little Brothers/Little Sisters.
A Dean’s List student each semester, she is a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society (secretary, treasurer and historian), Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society, Philosophy Honor Society.
