Aventis Scholarship Awarded to Coker

Money for the scholarship came from Aventis Pharmaceuticals in Kansas City, which provided $16,500 to Missouri Colleges Fund to fund 11 scholarships of $1,500 each at MCF-member independent colleges and universities. The funds were restricted to students enrolled in a medical-related field.
Coker’s activities include: president of the Athletic Training Students Organization; president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; member of the Campus Standards Board, and member of Student Assembly. Before transferring to William Woods, he played football at Westminster College and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.
In addition to his campus activities, Coker volunteers with Children’s Miracle Network, Make-A-Wish, YMCA and Helias Youth Football Camp.
