Sims Awarded Edward Jones Scholarship

Money for the scholarship came from Edward Jones, which provided $15,000 to Missouri Colleges Fund to fund 15 scholarships of $1,000 each at MCF-member independent colleges and universities. The funds were restricted to students enrolled in a business-related field of study.
The daughter of Warren and Cheryl Sims, she is very involved on campus. Active in Alpha Chi Omega sorority, she has chaired the philanthropy and fundraising committees and served as vice president of fraternity relations. She also is a member of Phi Beta Lambda business fraternity, Student Alumni Council junior representative, a community advisor, a university ambassador and a member of Jester’s Theatre Club.
Sims has maintained a 3.5 grade point average and has received awards as the Outstanding Freshman and Outstanding Stage Manager.
