Scholarship recipients must be juniors or seniors who display leadership and service to their Order of Omega chapter, Greek community and campus life. Goeringer was nominated for the scholarship by the local chapter.
The resident of St. Charles, Mo., is double majoring in graphic design and business, with emphasis in advertising and marketing.
She is a member of the Alpha Chi Omega, and is the sorority's historian. She is also part of Chi Connections and on the fraternity relations committee for the sorority. On campus she is a Student Alumni Council representative, a University Ambassador, a member of the Order of Omega, and works with the alumni office on the annual fund phone-a-thon.
WWU established an Order of Omega chapter last year to recognize outstanding members of sororities and fraternities on campus. To be eligible for membership, Greek students must have completed 60 credit hours (at least 30 at WWU), maintain a cumulative GPA above the all-Greek average, and demonstrate leadership involvement in their chapter, on the WWU campus and in the Fulton community.
