The exhibit opens at the Foundry Art Centre in St. Charles on March 3, and closes April 14. It will display work concerned with the history, culture and landscape of Missouri.
Although the show is open to all media, Williams’ piece, known as “Field Flowers,” is an 11” x 14” plein air (painted on the spot) oil painting. She based her piece on a view from her family’s farm.
“I got it just in time…the farmers actually plowed that field later that afternoon and took out all the flowers,” Williams said.
Williams is the daughter of Jim and Kay Williams of Brookfield. She is also a member of the WWU golf team, as well as a member of Chi Omega sorority.
