How to change schedule?
- Class schedules are available on Owlnet.
- Schedule changes during the registration period can be made on Owlnet with no charge; schedule changes made the first five class days of the semester (referred to as Add/Drop Week) incur a $10 charge per change.
- Schedule change (Add/Drop) forms are available in the Registrar's office.
- Complete the form and bring it to Registrar's office for processing.
- Retain copy to show instructor for admission to added classes.
How to change personal data?
- Obtain form from Registrar's office (address, phone #)(Name change requires proof, i.e. marriage license)
- Submit form to Registrar's office for processing; we will notify other campus offices.
- May also submit address,phone and email changes via Owlnet.
How to keep updated on academic policies/deadlines?
- Read the academic bulletin board that is located across from the Registrar's office; it displays pertinent information on registration, graduation, honors, etc.; check it frequently
- Read the information that we send through campus mail or campus e-mail(special registration instructions, memos, etc.;) check your mailbox frequently
- Read the academic policies/procedures in the university catalog which is available on our website at www.williamwoods.edu. Contact the Registrar's office with any questions.
How to Change Advisor
- Obtain form from Bonnie Carr, Academic Advising Coordinator
- Return completed form to Bonnie- Room AB 109
- Advisor changes must be completed PRIOR to the advising period
How to Withdraw From a Class
- You may withdraw from classes through the 11th week into the semester
- Check with Registrar's office or the academic calendar for the official withdraw deadline. (If you simply stop attending a class and do not officially withdraw through our office, you will receive a grade based on the ENTIRE semester)
- Pick up a form from the Registrar's office
- Complete form (we will need to know your last date of attendance)
- Bring the form to the Registrar's office for processing
*If you wish to withdraw from the University completely, you must contact the Coordinator of Career Services Student Success in Burton 005 ext. 4212) for the appropriate paperwork.
How to Obtain Academic Transcripts
- Obtain a transcript request form from the Registrar's office {You may instead write a letter giving pertinent information (name used while enrolled, last term enrolled, ID number and a complete address of where transcript is to be sent).}
- Include student signature and the $10.00 per transcript fee that should be paid to the cashier
- Bring form and receipt to the Registrar's office for processing; allow 3-5 working days for processing
- Current students may obtain a course history or an unofficial transcript at any time from Owlnet for no charge; assuming they do not have a financial hold on their account.
How to Receive Grades
- Grades may be viewed and printed from Owlnet
- Grades may not be given over the phone
- Grades may not be given to parents without written permission from student
How to Declare or Change Intent of Major/Minor
- Intent of Major forms should be completed upon registration; if not, pick up form from Registrar's office and complete.
- Come to the Registrar's office to make a change in major/minor
- Students will follow current catalog requirements based on the year the major/minor information is submitted, added or changed
How to Obtain Verification of Enrollment/Good Student Status
- Bring forms to the Registrar's office for completion
- Make the request for letters of enrollment in the Registrar's office
How to Receieve Credit for Off-Campus Work
- For courses already taken, request official transcripts to be sent directly from other institutions (AP, CLEP transfer work) to WWU Registrar's office.
- Registration priority is based on completed, transcripted hours.
- Receive approval from the Registrar in advance for any courses to be taken off campus
How to Obtain Books
- Books are ordered online through MBS Direct (www.mbsdirect.net).
- Follow the instructions in the pamphlet.
- You need to retain a copy of your schedule in order to buy your books
