Barbara Foster

Barbara Loring Foster works at Creative Planning, a wealth advisory firm based in Kansas City, and is Director of Practice Development. During her career as a teacher, an executive in banking and finance, and a consultant, Barb has held leadership roles on numerous non-profit boards in the Kansas City community, including Front Porch Alliance, Te Deum, Planet Play, Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey, Start at Zero, as well as others.

She is currently Advisory Board Chair of Te Deum as well as Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey and a member of the Classical KC Advisory Council. In addition to her board rolls and business experience, Barb has also worked in the political arena, serving as a key fundraiser, Finance Chair and Finance Committee member for groundbreaking political campaigns in her area.

Barb graduated from William Woods in 1980 with a degree in Special and Elementary Education. She is married to Robin Foster, a graduate of Westminster College and the University of Missouri School of Law. He is the Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
