Andy Otto

Dr. Andy Otto joined William Woods as Vice President of Enrollment Services in May 2022. He is responsible for leading the university’s efforts in undergraduate, graduate and online student recruitment and enrollment.

 

Andy came to WWU with more than a decade worth of experience in higher education admissions and enrollment, working in both the traditional and non-traditional settings and with residential, graduate, online and non-traditional students. From 2017 until 2022, he served as Director of Enrollment Management and Admissions at Ottawa (Kan.) University, where he helped secure the university’s largest incoming class for five consecutive years, as well as the institution’s largest total enrollment at its residential campus in more than 40 years. He also served as an academic advisor for first-year students and taught a first-year seminar course.

 

A native of Drexel, Missouri, Andy completed his Doctor of Philosophy (2022) in Educational Leadership from Northwest Nazarene University, with a research focus on the use of texting within the advising function and its influence on students’ intent to persist. He earned both his Master’s (Business Administration, 2014) and Bachelor’s (English, 2010) from Ottawa University.
