John Fougere

Vice President of Media Relations

A veteran of more than 20 years experience in public and media relations, John joined William Woods as Vice-President of Strategic Communications in 2017.

Prior to joining William Woods, he served as Chief Communications Officer for the University of Missouri System (2013-2017); Director of Communications for the Missouri Department of Economic Development (2009-2013); Press Secretary to Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon (2005-2008) and Public Information Officer for the Missouri Department of Corrections (1997-2005).

A native of Framingham, Massachusetts, John is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia (MA, Broadcast Journalism) and Springfield College (BS, English) in Springfield, Mass.
