Requirements

We’ve listed the requirements and application steps for all of our online programs below.

Online Undecided Degree Seeking

  • Completed application
  • High school transcript (or GED) with a 2.5 GPA
  • Entrance Exam: ACT of 19 or higher or SAT of 980 or higher

Online Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

  • Completed application
  • High school transcript (or GED) with a 2.5 GPA
  • Entrance Exam: ACT of 19 or higher or SAT of 980 or higher

Online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

  • Completed application
  • High school transcript (or GED) with a 2.0 GPA
  • Entrance Exam: ACT of 19 or higher or SAT of 980 or higher

Online Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity

  • Completed application
  • High school transcript (or GED) with a 2.0 GPA
  • Entrance Exam: ACT of 19 or higher or SAT of 980 or higher

Online Bachelor of Science in Interpretation Studies in ASL - English

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated
  • Hold an associates-level degree in an interpreting preparation program which includes successful completion of ASL 1-4 and Interpreting 1 and 2 at minimum  OR hold current certification or ASLPI score of 2.0 or higher with relevant experience in the field of interpreting.
  • College/university experience: You must have completed a two-year degree in ASL interpreting or course equivalencies as determined by program faculty prior to entry to the program.
  • GPA requirements: You must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher to start ASL program courses.

Alternative Admission Information

Applications who hold the following approved certifications may be considered for admission providing the applicant meets the minimum GPA requirement and has relevant work experience. Applicants must submit documentation of such certifications for formal review.

Online Bachelor of Science in Management and Leadership

  • Completed application
  • High school transcript (or GED) with a 2.0 GPA
  • Entrance Exam: ACT of 19 or higher or SAT of 980 or higher

Online Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies

  • Completed application
  • High school transcript (or GED) with a 2.0 GPA
  • Entrance Exam: ACT of 19 or higher or SAT of 980 or higher

Online Master of Business Administration

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated
  • Other proficiency requirement: You must have 3 hours of accounting and 3 hours of economics on an undergraduate level. (William Woods University provides these courses online.)

Online Master of Health Administration

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated

Online Master of Organizational Leadership

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated

Online Master of Education in Athletics/Activities Administration

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university from which you graduated

Online Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated

Online Master of Education in Educational Leadership

  • Completed application
  • Copy of teaching certificate
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university from which you graduated

Online Master of Education in Equestrian Education

  • Graduate Application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) showing Bachelor's degree. Only transcripts received in a sealed envelope directly from the sending school will be considered official.
  • A curriculum vitae demonstrating your knowledge of and experience in the equine industry. This may include items such as certifications, professional memberships, your student accomplishments in the field, or your professional accomplishments in the field.

Online Master of Education in STEM

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated

Online Master of Education in Teaching and Technology

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (2.5 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university of which you graduated
  • This degree aligns with the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards and National Education Technology Standards. Teachers currently certified in the enhancing Missouri’s Instructional Networked Teaching (eMINTS) program may apply for up to nine hours of credential learning credit based on their level of certification.

Online Education Specialist in Educational Leadership

  • Completed application
  • Copy of teaching certificate
  • All official transcripts (3.0 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university you graduated from

Online Education Specialist in Curriculum Leadership

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts (3.0 GPA or higher) mailed from the college/university from which you graduated

Online Doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed.D)

Program Qualifications

  • Education Specialist degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Graduate GPA of 3.6 on a 4.0 scale
  • Two years of experience working as an educator

Prerequisite Coursework

  • Research Methods/Design
  • Research Statistics

The following must be submitted before consideration for admission:

  • Completed application
  • Official transcripts showing masters and specialist degrees. Only transcripts received in a sealed envelope directly from the sending school will be considered official. Students graduating from William Woods University masters and/or specialist programs do not need to submit new copies of transcripts already on file.
  • Two academic letters of reference from professionals who can address the candidate’s academic ability, potential for success in strenuous scholarly work, and past performance as an educator in the field. One letter must be from a supervisor.
  • Professional vita.
  • Philosophy of leadership statement highlighting the applicant’s personal leadership characteristics and past professional leadership experiences, as well as the applicant’s purpose in pursuing the doctoral degree and expectation of the benefit of obtaining the doctorate. This statement must be at least 750 words.
