How to Apply

Below you will find the process and requirements for applying to be an undergraduate student at William Woods University. We encourage applicants to apply as early as possible after they have completed their junior year of high school. Students will be notified of an admissions decision shortly after all application materials are received.

Undergraduate Admission Process:

  1. Complete application online or mail it to:
  2. Submit official high school transcript
  3. Submit your ACT or SAT scores*

Admission Requirements:

  • Minimum high school GPA: 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Minimum ACT score: 19*
  • Minimum SAT score: 980

*As a way of simplifying the application process, William Woods University has adopted a test-optional pathway as part of our criteria for admissions. For more information, contact admissions@williamwoods.edu.

Please note: letters of recommendation and interviews are not required for admission.

Levels of Admission :

Students admitted to undergraduate study at William Woods University are admitted in one of two classifications:

Regular: A student who has satisfied all requirements and prerequisites for admission to the College degree completion program.

Special: A student who holds a baccalaureate or graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution and who intends to enroll for a specific course or courses; or, a student otherwise qualified for admission who intends to enroll for a course with no intention of completing a degree; or, a student intending to qualify for Regular standing who has yet to complete the application process but who documents prior baccalaureate work and qualifying grade point average from a regionally accredited institution.

Deadline

Though we have a preferred deadline of December 1, William Woods offers a rolling admissions policy. This means students can apply and be accepted at any time, although we advise students to have all necessary paperwork in at least one week prior to the start of classes.
