Tucker Dining Hall

Good food takes people on a journey, embraces culture and creates lasting relationships. Some of the best ideas, conversations and connections happen around the table.

At William Woods University, we want to provide our students with the best possible dining experience, which is why Tucker Dining Hall partners with Fresh Ideas Food Service Management, a local food provider based out of Columbia, Missouri whose mission is to bring excellence to the food service industry.

Fresh Ideas and William Woods University together believe that good food is a powerful thing.

We focus on what you want, offering menus for even the most discerning tastes with variety, convenience and nutrition in mind. Our friendly, service-oriented staff aims to please and provide an excellent dining service experience.

Tucker Dining Hall is both a building and a foodservice facility. The main dining area and the Nielsen Room are on the second floor of the building while the lower level is home to the Ivy Room and Woody's — two areas frequently used by students, faculty, and staff.

You must present your ID card in Tucker Dining Hall and the Owl’s Nest in order to purchase items.

Meals To-Go

Students have the option to take food from the dining hall during the dinner meal period through William Woods’ reusable container program. In place of dining in Tucker Hall, you will be able to request a to-go container for a one time fee of $3.00 and upon returning the container, you will receive a token that can be exchanged for a clean reusable container.

Meal Exchange and Owl’s Exchange Points

Meal Exchange

Students have the option to participate in meal exchange, which simply means that if you choose not to eat lunch or dinner in the dining hall you have the ability to exchange that meal for one at the Owl’s Nest.

During lunch hours you may use meal exchange for pizza, hot or cold sandwiches and salads only. During dinner hours you may use meal exchange for cold sandwiches and salads only.

Owl’s Exchange Points

When you participate in the meal exchange program you will be credited Owl’s Exchange Points, which can be used in the dining hall and the Owl’s Nest. They can also be used to pay for a guest’s meal.

If you wish to check your Owl’s Exchange Points balance, you can do so at any of the Fresh Ideas terminals. If you’d like to add money to your account you or your parent can do so at any time throughout the semester by contacting the cashier at William Woods University.

Owl’s Exchange Points do not rollover from semester to semester, so be sure to use them all up before the semester ends.
